Diet and Nutrition

Breeding Mating Habits 

Red golden pheasants also form pairs like other pheasants. Males can mate with more than one female. 

These pheasants build their nests in thick bushes under tree trunks. 

Their breeding season starts in April and the females form a clutch.  It lays 7 to 12 eggs. 

Their incubation period is about 24 to 25 days. The young are able to eat after 24 hours after hatching.

Female Duration is about 1 year and males become mature at 2 years of age.
