Swinhoe's Pheasant

Description

The Swinhoe's Pheasant also known as Taiwan Blue Pheasant.  It is endemic to Taiwan, and is         considered an unofficial symbol. The Swinhoe's pheasant is also known regionally as Lophora      swinhoe's, far monsoon pheasant, red-footed chicken, and mountain chicken.  This pheasant was named after Robert Swinhoe's. Robert Swinhoe's discovered this pheasant breed in 1862.

The male Swinhoe's pheasant can grow to about 31 inches in length. Its chest and belly are blue and purple,

 with a white rump and red crest on the hindquarters, and a white crest on the head and white on the tail.  There are  The substance is gray in color with yellow spots on it.


 

Habitat 

The Swinhoe's  pheasant is found in the mountains of central Taiwan, where it lives in forests above 2,000 meters and on mountain tops.


 Swinhoe's pheasant can be seen along forest trails.  Paths through the vegetation where pheasants pass through these paths,

 where pheasants come and go daily, have more sources of food.  Swinhoes are often found in clumps.


 The distribution of these birds is currently estimated at around 90,000 to more than 10,000.  And some of their generations were hunted in the 60s and 70s.  As a result,

 some surviving populations are protected in different areas ۔

Diet 

The Swinhoe's Pheasants also feed by digging.  And their natural diet is seeds, plant material, fruit, flower buds, leaves and sometimes insects and termites. 

Housing

 Alternatively, a set of 1 male and 2 female trios can be kept. They require a spacious and suitable aviary with plenty of cover.

Breeding 

The Swinhoe's Pheasants start breeding in the spring.  They build their nests in hidden places, which are hidden among plants.

 to increase the number of chicks.  In the incubator, the chick comes out of the egg in 26 days. And the baby should be removed from the incubator in 24 hours.
